Bangalore Airport city Lions Service Trust (BALST) HISTORY

The Bangalore Airport city Lions Service Trust is formed to establish and manage the permanent service projects of Lions Club of Bangalore Airport city. Only Lion member can be become the trustees of Lions Service trust, non Lions are not eligible to become the trustee.  It is a NGO established to serve the poor and needy people in the field of health, education, physically challenged, senior citizens and other similar such fields by establishing hospitals, orphans centers hostels old age home etc,.  The Bangalore Airport city Lions Service Trust has formed on 06.03.1997. The founder Chairman is Lion H.N.Vijayaraghava Reddy. Immediate past Chairman is Lion M.Muni Reddy.Now the present chairman is Ln.S Somashekar.




To help the downtrodden citizens of the community and to assist the community particularly belonging to less fortunate brethren of the society.

To uplift downtrodden socially, economically and cure the society from social evils.

To start and run lodging home for the poor and deserving students and senior citizens.

To provide educational assistance to the poor and deserving students and medical assistance to the poor and deserving general public by establishing hospital and mobile clinic to provide facilities to the rural  community.

1)    Lions Airport city Hospital, 2) Lions Airportcity Old age Home, 3) Lions Airport city Girls Hostel, 4) Child care centre, 5) Adoption of Government School.

Lions Airport city Hospital:  It is a 25 bed hospital  located in Munnekolala village off Varturu Road, near Marthahalli,   providing general medical care to the rural downtrodden community.

Lions Club of Bangalore Airport city: Activities:

Conducting of regular health checkup camps and health service camps in the schools, colleges and slum areas. Conducts blood donation camps and donate to charitable blood banks, like Lions blood bank, Rotary Blood bank, Rastrothana Blood Bank and also hospitals like NIMHANS, KIDWAI & etc., conducting dental, veterinary camps and providing medicines. Donating study articles like note books, text books other learning materials to the students.  Providing clothing, foot wear to the poor students studying in the Government schools. Giving scholarships and free ships to the merit and poor students.
